HEY IT WAS A WONDERFUL WEEKEND !
SPENT A FEW DAYS WITH JACK'S MOM FOR THANKSGIVING THEN WENT TO LOREN AND CONTESSA'S WEDDING ON SAT.
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL !
JOB WELL DONE FOR ALL WHO HELPED THEM. THE DECORATIONS WERE ADORABLE AND FOOD YUMMY.
SAM DID A GRAND JOB OF MARRYING THEM AND MARTY AND CHERISE HOSTED A WONDERFUL MEAL AFTER .
GOOD FUN WITH EVERYONE.

My holiday wish for you

I wish all of you health, happiness, peace, warmth, the gift of love and the unity of family. The house is quiet, the pie is almost gone and I'm sitting here pondering. Time goes by so swiftly, last week was one of preparation, feasting, family and gratitude and now here it is the verge of December. This year has been so great and busy. I love that we have this blog connection and hope we get more nieces on board. I wish all of you peaceful days, moments of reflection and time to build memories. Thanks for being part of my life. Worst Christmas Songs Ever

Christmas is coming and I've been doing a ton of thinking the last few days. I don't want to come across as a Scrooge, but I'm sure I will anyway. There are Christmas songs out there that I would have no complaints if they fell off the face of the earth. Don't be shy, we all have our least favorites. I would like to kick off the season with a "WORST CHRISTMAS SONGS EVER" list. I'll begin and I want everyone to add their own least favorite seasonal song. (I'll be nice later and we can list the best songs, but for now I want check this off of my list of things to do this season.)

These are on the very top of my list:

1. The Little Drummer Boy-can't stand it, sorry Dad
2. The Twelve Days of Christmas-I've never met anyone who enjoys this song except Ryker
3. Do You Hear What I Hear?-I didn't even like it when Cory's 2nd grade class sang it!
4. A Wonderful Christmas Time by John Lennon-ugh!
5. Phil wants me to add "Last Christmas" by George Michael. (I personally enjoy that song but mainly because I can torment my husband with it!!!!!)
6. "Feliz Navidad"-no comment

PLEASE, I WANT YOUR INPUT TO THIS. I WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS AS GRUMPY AS I AM!

I guess you can all know what I'm grateful for too, huh? Thing I am Thankful For

Wow, I can not believe it is Thanksgiving tomorrow. Where has this year gone? Well I just wanted to share with you some of the things that I am thankful for:

1. My family & the amazing opportunity to be a wife and a mother. For a loving & supportive husband, for two daughters who call me for cooking questions, long talks or just to say hi, for two sons who keep me laughing by teasing me & who can always find a way for me to do their laundry. I love you all. You are the joy in my life.

2. For my brother, sisters, nieces and nephews you all make me smile when I think of you.

3. For my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. For the gift of the Atonement and the opportunity it gives me to repent of my short comings. For the Plan of Salvation and the comfort it gives me to know that I can be with my family forever.

4. For my home and the warmth and safety it provides for me & my family.

5. For this great country, we are still free and have the opportunity to stand up for what we believe in. We have food to eat, cars to drive, roofs over our heads, the freedom of religion etc. We are so blessed!

6. For good health.

7. For good books, good movies, good music, popcorn, licorice, chocolate and sonic ice.

8. For this blog so we can keep in touch with each other.

WeLl its been a blast this last week tons happened!... not only did harvest happen which was a totally success as you can tell on my pix on my blog but we had our school tryouts and...i tried out its seven brides for seven brothers and swelll.... i got the part i wanted!! woot woot iam now known all ready as dorkus yes the funny named girl thats me!! i was sooo happy and stetzen got gidion so ill be playing the oldest brides while he will be the youngest brother lol iam so excited yay i was so stressing forever thinking i wouldnt get it iam soooooo excited for this!! yay ill post the dates if anyone would like to come!! love ya all!! :)

Thanksgiving

I've decided to list the top 10 things that I am eternally grateful for. I take this list seriously. These are the things I cannot do without and feel blessed to have in my life.

10. Transportation (the lack thereof has brought me closer to that conclusion the last several months)
9. Peanut M&M's (I've had some real good times with those guys)
8. Education and knowing that I am capable of learning more
7. I am able to create Happiness in my life
6. Life-the ability to live my life, to enjoy my life , to give life
5. My body and good health
4. Friends, for I have many
3. Music-both that is inside of me and that which inspires me
2. My Family, those whom I was born to, those who were born to me and those to whom I have joined
1. The Gospel-knowing who I am and where I came from, understanding my existence, my life, the plan of redemption, our Savior, and our Heavenly Father and all that the gospel encompasses. How blessed we are!

Hooray! No more dial-up!

I can finally post again! We've had to have a crummy dial-up connection for the past month and it was so slow I couldn't hardly get on the internet! Hooray! We're back to wireless! I'm so excited. Anyway, Clar-I've finally got my own personal blog. It's intended for my music use so it won't include much about the family, but I'll set one of those up sometime soon. It's great to have the Tran Clan here. The kids are getting so big. We are going to have a fun week. In December, I get to got and see the Osolu Crew...I haven't seen the kids since August of 2007. So Al's been to Tennessee and Chicago this week-the guy gets around. I heard a neat thing on the radio about worry and what a waste of time it is and that we should use that time for our imaginations to work and to feel joy. Just thought I'd share. Remember a couple of years ago when we did some things as a family for the Haiti orphanage...I ran into Mandy and tonight and she now has her daughter and son from there. They came in March of this year..after about four plus years of trying-she remembered our project. So thanks again and her daughter is now 16 and so gorgeous. Have a great Thanksgiving. okay clarissa and vicki do you know the Botts, they were clarissas primary teachers anyways they live just right here in Declo, Roland is the principle at the highschool, anyways there daughter got on one of my friends blogs and then looked at mine and they saw clarissa and nates link, so they came over to my house on thursday to ask how I knew you guys, crazy huh? They told me they named there girls after your girls, they just had a little boy last year he is so cute anyways they said to tell you hi!!!! cya char

My house smells so clean and look so clean. Thanks to Al and his efforts. I was behind and had to ask for help-something I don't often do. It's just nice to feel heaven in your home when things are clean, calm, organized and the stress level is low. My thought for the day.

HARD DAYS THAT MAKE US MORE GRATEFUL

WHAT A MONTH.
JACK AND I HAVE HAD SOME VERY HARD TIMES THIS MONTH, WE LOST 3 OF OUR REALLY BEST FRIENDS. I LAST MONTH AND 2 THIS WEEK. IT HAS BEEN VERY UPSETTING TO BOTH OF US. ALL OF THEM WERE OUR AGE AND THAT IS TO YOUNG !
MY ADVICE DON'T TAKE ANY MOMENT FOR GRANITE, LOVE YOUR FAMIY LIKE EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON IT. TELL THEM OF YOUR LOVE FOR THEM DAILY. GIVE LOTS OF HUGS !

Mexico fun!

Well we are back from Mexico and what we did was relax..lay on the beach...realax....eat....lay on the beach....eat.....and relax! The food there was so good! It's weird being home and having to cook and clean, I could have gotten used to that service! But I guess now back to real life! Thanks again mom and dad! We love you! And I missed reading about every one's life via blog so I'm catching up now!

Thankful Time

I have to admit, I think about my blessings each day, but in November they seem to be more on my mind than usual. It has been a good year-ups and downs, fun, being with family, new experiences and such a beautiful spring, summer and fall. I truly love life and the gospel and my family, which includes all of you. I have a few words of advice-yeah, I know I'm the old lady, so I guess you have to take heed---joking. Remember to breathe, take time outs for you, dance, sing and build memories. Memories get us through tough times and bring smiles and tears of pure joy.
I hope you all have a blessed month. Keep on blogging-it's a highlight for me and I think all of you. I looked at everyone's blogs tonight and felt so connected-what a feeling. Wait,is that a song???

Yummy Brownies

Hi Family, Hey we had these brownies at an FHE dinner for Sam's ward and I had to share the recipe with ya'll. They are so yummy! Hope everyone is doing great. Robertson Family have so much fun in Mexico. Thanks Becky for helping me find the airline ticket to Indiana, you're awesome, By the way I am going to visit Sydney in April and I am sooo excited. Yummy Brownies

1 white cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup veg. oil
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter

Mix cake mix, oil and eggs together. Press 2/3's of the mix into bottom on cake pan. Set the rest aside. Melt choc. chips, sweeten.cond. milk and butter in microwave 45 seconds or until melted. Pour over cake mix. Crumble the rest of cake mix on top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy!

These pictures are of our baby kitty we rescued. Our neighbor found her in front of his house, she was soaking wet, and was so small that she could fit inside of your palm. so we took her in and had to bottle feed her. We were not going to originally keep her but we both fell in love with her and couldn't give her away. Now she's a pudgy spaz.

WOW!!!! AUDREY GAVE THE BEST FIRESITE PAUL STAKE HAS EVER HAD. THE BOYS WERE SO AMAZED AND EVERYONE WAS MEMERIZE.(SP) THANK YOU SO MUCH AUDREY. YOUR VOICE WAS BEAUTIFUL. WE LOVED YOUR HUMOR MIXED WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL MESSAGES. YOU DO HAVE A WONDERFUL SPIRIT INSIDE YOU. THE LADIES WHO ALSO CAME HAD THAT SOME SPIRIT. WHAT A OPPORTUNITY WE HAD TO HAVE YOU IN OUR HOME. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE AND I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU ALL CAN COME AGAIN. I WISHED WE HAD A FEW MORE DAYS TO HAVE FUN AND EAT AT TACO BANDITO!!!! WE WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY NOVEMBER. Have fun at Audrey's performances and good luck Audrey. Wish I could be there. Heather-cute picture. Wendy and Shawna I'll be at the shower and I think Clar might come, not sure yet. What can I do to help you??? Food, etc. I had a great time at our party and the weather was long sleeved shirt weather. We had yummy food and a roaring fire and lots of talking.

Fun Halloween

Hope everyone had a safe and happy halloween. Sam and I had alot of fun. We hardly ever see our neighbors because of our work schedules plus we don't go to our ward anyways we decided to set up our camp stove in the front yard and make our neighbors scones & hot chocolate. We went through 11 bags of scone dough. It was great to talk to our friends and not have to get up and answer the door every 5 minutes. I think we will make this a tradition. This picture is from work, we have a lot of fun together.
