this is mr. raccoon. Joe was driving home one night and drove past this raccoon laying in the road. He swore that he saw it look up at him while he was driving past, so when he got home he went to go and see if he was alive or not. it turned out that it was still alive. he had a bloody mouth from biting his tongue, we think he sprained his front right foot, and we had no way of telling if he had any internal damage. we took him in and did our best to care for him. he started walking on his front foot 2 days later which was a good sign that it wasn't broken. we had to force feed him water everyday, but he started eating on the 3rd day, which we were excited about.
we thought he was getting better, but on the 5th day we went to go take him outside and he had passed away. we think that he did have internal damage, but we aren't sure. but it was a good experience and i'm glad we made his last 5 days on earth as comfortable as possible.
